Stickers

The girls love to play with stickers.  Brenna's latest request is 'little stickers'.  She has tremendous fine motor skills and loves to cover her entire forearm.

Yahoo!

Yahoo is Brenna's favorite word lately.  I love her enthusiasm.

Nora is still running everywhere and she is so fast!

Even though the weather is cooling down a bit and feels like fall is approaching I want to celebrate that I got brave this summer and got comfortable taking the girls swimming at the pool by myself!

Look who is Two!

I completely agree with the saying the "the days are long, but the years are fast". I can't believe (and sometimes fully believe) that Nora and Brenna are two years old.  Ted's theme for this year's birthday is "we survived two years with twins!"

Four word sentences are a regular occurrence around here and can be answers to mom and dad's questions.  Their senses of humor are contagious and I love watching them care for each other (when they aren't taking each other's toys :)). Nora likes to bring Brenna water and toys after she wakes from her nap.  "Here Brenna.....Here Brenna....."

They were not at all excited about the buttercream frosting on their cupcakes and didn't eat them at all.  More for mom & dad I guess.  On their actual birthday they made up for it by sharing an entire cantelope.  They now like to sing themselves "Happy Birthday".

The Return of the Loon!

At the end of June we went to the NH cottage before the rental season began.  Paige & Dakota came too and entertained the girls while Ted & I slept in the morning-what a treat!  Nora & Brenna loved running wild in the yard and the nearby Science Center.  They had their first paddle boat ride with Ted & I. Nora "shared" her first ice cream with Dad.

During naptime I went for a long kayak around the perimeter of the lake.  It was such a treat and then I saw 20+ loons all crossing the middle of the lake together in a straight line.  It was thrilling. I took it as a sign that I should cross then too so I did and counted them many times over :). When I was a child I remember it was such a treat to see even one loon.  They were endangered.  Now they have returned and are brave enough to tow the middle line together.  I'm still delighted a month later.

Koda Monday 08/04

We started our day playing in scooters in the shade of the building:

On a break we followed Paige and Poppy to check the mail

Look what special packages were in the mail boxes! Nora climbed right in, the little adventurer!

While Brenna had a three hour nap Nora and I took some good selfies:

Brenna wanted to change her outfit after sleeping so long:

We brought out our little pool to play in:
