Koda Thursday 07/31

Nora got a little stuck before we left the apartment!

Nora had a neat idea to swing in the swings this way and Brenna quickly followed suit:

After nap we headed into the shade of the building to draw with chalk and play with toys:

They love running up and down the sidewalk:

Koda Friday 07/25

We started our morning playing with our cars in front of the garage. 

It got a little too sunny so we moved to the shade where Brenna had a nice rest sitting on Koda #selfietime

Koda Thursday 07/24

We helped Koda carry the heavy bag with our snack and water bottles!

Brenna carried it most of the way!

The girls are very safe with the roads. They never run out when we are playing on the sidewalk with chalk. When we are crossing to walk to the playground they say "stop yellow" and then I ask them if they see any cars. Once they say "no cars" we say "safe to cross". Mommy did a good job teaching them this to stay safe! Now they do it all by themselves every time! 

Koda Sunday 7/20

We started this morning with some bubble time:

Someone got a little to close to their bubble wand and had lots of bubble solution in her mouth. Good thing it's just Trader Joe's soap and water!

Off to the playground where we did a new trick we learned from one of the older kids. 

Nora and Brenna really wanted to climb the slide so I explained that we have to do it with Koda's help so no one gets hurt.

Home to water the plants before lunch outside on the deck. 

Nanna & Backa

After Father's Day Nanna & Backa came for a quick visit together.  Everyone had lots of fun with trips to the neighborhood park and pool.  Nora and Brenna love to take their little wagons that Grandma Trish sent.  One of the wagons was Ted's as a child.  The girls also love their new sunglasses Nanna brought for them.

Enclosed are some photos from Nanna's visit at the end of April which I failed to post-the horror!  Looking at these older photos I can definitely tell my girls have a tan and some highlights as of late.

Father's Day

We are having so much fun this summer that the blog is taking a back seat.  Time to catch up!  

We celebrated Father's day at a nearby park and had a picnic lunch. Grandma Trish and Molly drove all the way from Ohio to join us. After nap Ted took Nora and Brenna to the pool with Koda. Meghan made a special dinner of scallops and risotto for Ted and Koda made strawberry shortcake!
