Today our quiet morning morphed into a fussy morning. Naked time in the crib watching the mobile is working wonderfully!

Happy Belated Hanukkah & Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays with Grandma Trish and Grandpa Yitz and wish them safe travels back to Ohio.

Dad's Birthday

On Saturday we celebrated Ted's birthday. It was a momentous occasion where we actually ate at the dining room table. I made Ted's favorite beef brisket and Trish made latkes (since Hanukkah didn't get celebrated this year). We strategically planned for a 3 pm dinner to avoid the girl's "happy hour". It worked well and we had a lovely time. Nora loved her dad's balloon and immediately started hitting it like a punching bag.

Mornings

At night we put them in the crib parallel, but each morning I find them like this; with their heads together. It's so precious. It's also comical when one is licking the other's face.

Babywearing and Yoga

One of our baby wearing wraps apparently doubles as a teething toy. The girls also enjoyed the new texture of the yoga mat. A few days ago Nora learned how to roll multiply times in one direction to get moving. She is also starting to enjoy peek a boo, but not Brenna. She gets a little startled.

Ruffles & Smiles

We welcomed the arrival of Grandma Trish & Grandpa Yitz this past Saturday night. It has been hectic around the Western Kwartler household with a local wedding, holiday preparations, the adoption paperwork needed for me to be listed as the girl's mother on their birth certificate, and of course two babies!

No Time For Blogging

Two teething babies + lots of legal paperwork = no time for Mom to blog. Here are some photos though!

Grandparents & Holiday Cheer

With Grandma and Grandpa's help we have holiday decor in our house. Yay! The festive lights definitely help with the grey days and early nights (sunsets at 4pm here). We went to Walla Walla yesterday; a nearby town with a historic downtown. The girls did great with the hour drive each way and had their first meal in a restaurant. We forgot to take photos when we were there so we did some posing when we got home .

First Date Night

Grandma Mak and Grandpa Kelly offered to care for the girls so Ted and I could go out and get some sushi together. It felt a bit strange to be somewhere without them, but we had a lovely time. We were home by 830 for bedtime with the girls.
