Standing and Loving Animals

A few days ago Brenna pulled herself up to standing! Not to be out done by her sister Nora stood the very next day. How life is quickly changing. We lowered the crib mattresses and rearranged furniture to give them more room to explore. The girls stand any chance they get and are definitely eager to walk. I'm not sure how I will keep up with them when they go opposite directions?

When we were visiting in Ohio we witnessed the girl's love of animals. Nora squealed and laughed each time Callie the Cat and Molly the Beagle made noises or came near her. They both enjoyed petting the animals and feeling their fur.

The Kwartler Grandparents are coming to visit this evening and we will all drive to Andrea and Greg's wedding in CT this weekend. We are looking forward to more celebration and the girls meeting more family.

Last Minute Visiting

I've was pretty overwhelmed with the move, wedding festivities, traveling, and adjusting to a new home so we were going to skip visiting when back in Ohio, but I'm glad we got to see a few dear people at the last minute.

Love <3

Last weekend I cried my eyes out with joy watching my sister marry her best friend. It was a very authentic heartfelt celebration where I was honored to stand beside them. It was also the longest I was apart from the babies which felt uncomfortable at times, but Ted and I had a wonderful evening of dancing and laughter. Brenna and Nora made a brief appearance at the wedding and reception, but also enjoyed time with their Kwartler Grandparents.

Life Lately

Brenna and Nora have been sleeping better since coming home from our first trip to Ohio. They are also taking to solid food quite well. They love carrots and sweet potatoes, but the green vegetables don't agree with them currently. Surprisingly they haven't liked fruit the way I expected them too, but are getting used to the flavor of pears and bananas regardless. I gave up the delusion of making my own baby food until things settle down a bit.

I am used to being superwoman, but lately the stress has been taking its toll and I was pretty sad. I got sick the day after we returned home from Ohio and luckily Grandma Kelly was able to extend her visit to help. This motherhood stuff is tough work. The girls seem to be going through some separation anxiety so it's tears every time I think about stepping away from them (even if I am in plain sight). When we return home from Ohio I have some local moms groups I am going to check out. I am feeling better hence the return of blog posts :)

Brenna is a little yogi doing very high Down Dogs and Hanuman (splits) frequently. She prefers this to crawling which frustrates her. It seems that she just wants to start walking. Nora is very quick with her army crawl. She continues to love all buttons, strings, and zippers. Her dexterity continues to amaze me as she learned to pull a zipper down with her index finger a few weeks ago.

The girls and I enjoyed our first visit to the North Bridge at Minutemen Historic Park and are looking forward to the local Patriot Day festivities next year.

Sleeping Beauties

Our daily afternoon walks are exhausting!

Grandpa Yitz (airport savior)

When Grandma Kelly flew back to Boston with the girls and I we were quite nervous about how to handle the heavy car seats and all the stuff that comes with twin babes. Grandpa Yitz met us at the airport for a quick visit and helped us get to our departure gate. I recently found out you can request a companion pass for a non-ticketed person to help you to through security and to the gate if needed. What a blessing! Plus he got to snuggle with Brenna and Nora who definitely remembered him from prior visits.
