Brenna and Nora have been sleeping better since coming home from our first trip to Ohio. They are also taking to solid food quite well. They love carrots and sweet potatoes, but the green vegetables don't agree with them currently. Surprisingly they haven't liked fruit the way I expected them too, but are getting used to the flavor of pears and bananas regardless. I gave up the delusion of making my own baby food until things settle down a bit.
I am used to being superwoman, but lately the stress has been taking its toll and I was pretty sad. I got sick the day after we returned home from Ohio and luckily Grandma Kelly was able to extend her visit to help. This motherhood stuff is tough work. The girls seem to be going through some separation anxiety so it's tears every time I think about stepping away from them (even if I am in plain sight). When we return home from Ohio I have some local moms groups I am going to check out. I am feeling better hence the return of blog posts :)
Brenna is a little yogi doing very high Down Dogs and Hanuman (splits) frequently. She prefers this to crawling which frustrates her. It seems that she just wants to start walking. Nora is very quick with her army crawl. She continues to love all buttons, strings, and zippers. Her dexterity continues to amaze me as she learned to pull a zipper down with her index finger a few weeks ago.
The girls and I enjoyed our first visit to the North Bridge at Minutemen Historic Park and are looking forward to the local Patriot Day festivities next year.
